Hydrostatic Pressure Testing

Ensuring safety and reliability in every pressure test we perform

Step 3 : Precision Machining & Repair

Proving safety through extreme pressure. We ensure zero-leakage performance and structural integrity for all high-pressure flowline equipment before it ever reaches the field.

High-pressure oil and gas environments are unforgiving. A single failure in a flowline can result in catastrophic downtime, environmental hazards, and severe safety risks to your crew. "Good enough" is not an option.

Hydrostatic testing is the ultimate proof of an asset's integrity. At PRI Oil & Gas, we subject both newly manufactured and repaired flow iron to pressure levels well beyond their standard working capacities. This rigorous testing validates the strength of the metal, the precision of the threads, and the reliability of the seals.

The Hydro-Test Protocol

Step-by-step guidance through every phase of your project.

2: Controlled Pressurization

Using high-volume, high-pressure pumps, we slowly bring the equipment up to its designated test pressure—often 1.5 times its normal maximum working pressure, depending on API specifications.

3: Stabilization & Monitoring

Once target pressure is reached, the equipment is isolated. Our technicians monitor calibrated gauges for the designated hold period, looking for even the slightest pressure drop that indicates a microscopic leak or seal failure.

1: Preparation & Purging

Equipment is securely mounted in our specialized test bunkers. It is filled with test fluid while systematically purging all trapped air to ensure absolute testing accuracy and safety.

4: Chart Recording & Certification

Pressure data is continuously logged using highly accurate chart recorders. Upon successful completion, you receive a certified test chart—your documented proof of safety and compliance.
